The school is designed to allow the opening to the public of spaces such as the library, the main hall and the atrium, without compromising the autonomy of the rest of the building. The new volume dialogues with the existing, actively collaborating to define the Landscape of the area, immersed in the park, seeks dialogue and contact with the surrounding nature, letting it penetrate into his patios.
The entire spatial concept of the project merges in the luminous central hall: the "Informal Classroom"; which is deliberately arranged in the middle between the first and second floors, to represent the center of spatial and social life in the building. This large space is an informal meeting place: it can be used for school or extra-school activities, but also for meetings and cultural exchanges. It is a room open to all children, a place of passage and meeting, a creative space, open to the interpretation of students and teachers, designed both to meet during breaks, but also to organize study groups, workshops, exhibitions of work carried out in class or in the laboratory: a large common lounge where people can meet, learn and discuss.
